Remar Australia
Christians reaching out to hurting people who have drug and alcohol problems
Our Mission
Our mission is to minister to people affected by drug and alcohol abuse and provide them with support and long-term recovery opportunities, teaching them how to base their daily life on Christian principles.
Our vision
Our vision is to see lives transformed and relationships restored by the power of God, so that they can then reach out to others in similar situations.
Breaking News - Black Saturday Bushfires
Due to the 7 February Black Saturday bushfires, we have now relocated to Nyora, Gippsland (on the road to Phillip Island). Our rehabilitation centre is now open to receive new people seeking help. Click here for more information on our escape from these devastating fires.

Remar Australia forms part of Remar International, a Christian Outreach Ministry of Care and Compassion established in Spain in 1982. Remar International engages in a broad-based ministry to personal and social needs in more than 58 countries around the world.
- In developed countries we work primarily with substance abusers and other social “outcasts”.
- In Third World nations we try to improve the living conditions of children, families and communities by providing for their basic needs, but also by establishing self-sustaining development projects, with an aim to change the structures that contribute to the perpetuation of poverty.
We believe, based on a Christian foundation, that every person, male or female, in virtue of their dignity and fundamental equality, is capable of being the agent of change in their lives in the areas of material improvement, moral progress and spiritual development, so that they can enjoy a dignified life.
In Australia we have focused on providing substance abusers with recovery opportunities that are focused on healing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We also accept anyone who needs to learn basic life-skills or who has difficulty coping with problems in life.
